IJmuiden increasingly believes in a stunt from Telstar. The white lions are in the semi-final of the play-offs and promotion to the Eredivisie. NH Sport traveled to Plein 45 in the port city of the municipality of Velsen. The place where Telstar might be honored in two weeks. “It has to happen here.”
“It was very nice to experience,” Telstar-Steward Patricia looks back on last Saturday. The Velsenaren defeated ADO Den Haag in two duels and thus reached the next round of the after competition. “All goosebumps.”
Frieser
“That is a very fresh guy,” said Telstar fan Joost about trainer Anthony Correia. “I’m afraid we can’t keep him for Telstar.” Joost also has a nice photo and anecdote about Correia as a fries baker.
In the semi-final of the play-offs, Telstar will find FC Den Bosch tomorrow night. Joost: “Appeltje, egg and then against Willem II in the final. That will be a difficult bone.” If Telstar successfully comes through, then promotion to the Eredivisie is a fact. That means a big party in IJmuiden. A ceremony on Plein 1945 then seems to be the most logical place. “We don’t have more room. Sinterklaas comes here too, so why not Telstar.”
