Just before closing time, two men arrived at the glasses shop on Friday afternoon and an employee threatened. After the robbery they fled on a black scooter towards Peperstraat. A police spokesperson said that the employee of the optician was not injured.
“But of course it is very shocking and scary what happened yesterday,” another optician employee told NH today. The store is ‘just’ open. “We wanted to open for customers who had agreements and we just try to continue.”
This glasses shop has not been robbed before. The employee who is there today is shocked, but not afraid. “I don’t think they are coming back for a second time today, but of course it’s crazy.”
