I am with my elderly mother in the nursing home. She is in a cheerful mood and instructs me who should get what ‘later’. The paintings, jewelry, some porcelain – everything is given to one of the children or grandchildren. In the meantime, I’m searching YouTube for a TV series from the past. It becomes Who pays the ferryman? a series from the seventies. We watch the first episode together. She remembers a lot and enjoys it. Afterwards she is sweet and generous: the series is so beautiful, I can have it later.
