Opinion | Crazy brownies – NRC

My girlfriend and I visit the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen depot. In the restaurant we notice how white and how old the audience is. When checking out with a young waitress, I express our amazement at this. “We had also counted on a different audience for the opening,” she says. “Hipsters, people in their thirties, people in their early forties… We thought we were going to experiment with wild salads and crazy brownies, but we walk back and forth every day with croquettes and apple pie with whipped cream.”
