Behind our house is a quiet country road. It is Sunday and I teach my son bike here without side wheels. I hollow next to him, ready to intervene if necessary. From afar we see an oncoming car, which controls his bike very relaxed with one hand on the wheel. My son proudly looks at me and after the cyclist is over, he says: “Look dad, that boy can only cycle with one hand, I already with two.”
