A big name was on the training field of Jong Ajax last Friday. Christian Eriksen trained with John Heitinga’s team. The coach confirms after the duel with Telstar that the Dane’s training was a one-off.

Eriksen is currently without an employer after his contract with Internazionale was terminated. The midfielder had a heart attack during the European Championship and was not allowed to play with a defibrillator in Italy.

Eriksen has been in Amsterdam for the past few days and asked his old club to train with him. He is currently looking for a new club, but whether he will join Ajax is still unknown. “At this point it was a one-off,” says Heitinga.

Who is also linked to Ajax is Mo Ihattaren. The midfielder is in a split at Juventus and the team from Amsterdam want to rent him from the Italians for the rest of the season. Given his age, the 19-year-old midfielder could also join the U23 team. “I don’t know anything yet,” said Heitinga.
