The singer herself knows whether Gwen Stefani actually underwent facial surgery or other cosmetic treatments. But that doesn’t stop others from speculating. For years her performances have provoked reactions, she is judged primarily on her looks, not on the music that the no-doubt musician presents. Now the 52-year-old was a guest on US comedian Seth Meyers’ late-night show, and many commentators agreed: Stefani looked completely different.
Actually, Stefani was on the show to talk about her role as a judge on the talent show “The Voice”. Under a post shared on Instagram by the talk show account, most of the comments were only about Stefani’s appearance. “Wait…who the hell is that?” wrote one user, “unrecognizable” another. “Stop the surgeries,” commented one user.
It is questionable whether all the negative comments really come from fans of the singer. Under photos of herself that Stefani posted on her own Instagram channel, the tenor is very different: “I saw you at Seth’s Late Night … you look fantastic,” wrote one user, “absolutely stunning” another .
