From Clinic to Practice: A Fresh Start in Medical Care Excellence

Health, prevention, and well-being come together in one location: the building at Tafernerstraße 6 in Villach, situated right behind the Rutar Center, has transformed into a versatile medical competence center. With convenient access, an elevator, and ample parking, this modern facility serves as a prime medical hub for the community. The foundation on the ground floor is laid by the Sun & Beauty Lounge, offering not only classic relaxation and cosmetic services but also addressing health aspects like the psychological effects of light and targeted Vitamin D supply.

Comprehensive ENT Services on the First Floor

The medical heart of the building is located on the first floor in the practice of Dr. Martin Merl. A seasoned specialist in otorhinolaryngology, Dr. Merl took over the insurance office at the beginning of 2025 after his predecessor retired. Previously, he spent 18 years at the Klagenfurt Clinic in the ENT department, training many staff members. “There comes a time for a change to ensure the best possible care for the population in outpatient settings,” Dr. Merl explains in an interview with 5 Minuten. At this location, he consciously opted against the old office layout of his predecessor: “The practice has been completely updated and modernized.”

Welcoming Young Patients

As an insurance provider for all patients, including private patients, he covers the full scope of ENT services, including allergy assessments and sleep medicine. A particular focus is on pediatric audiology: “I warmly welcome young patients for hearing tests and all classical childhood ailments in the ENT area,” says the physician, who manages up to 30,000 otoplasties (ear molds) per year.

New Arrival on the Top Floor

The already strong services in the building will now be perfectly complemented. Starting July 1, 2026, experienced internist and interventional cardiologist Dr. Attila Mark will join the second floor. Under the name “INNEREVILLACH,” he will open a state-of-the-art elective practice with its own laboratory system, allowing patients to receive their blood results within just two hours.
