For more than four decades, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark (OMD) have been among the pioneers of synthpop. In the summer of 2026, the British band will return to Germany with OMD’s Summer of Hits for eight open-air concerts.
The tour, presented by ROLLING STONE, takes you to Hanau, Stuttgart, Bonn, Bremen, Schwerin, Berlin, Halle (Saale) and Dresden. You can hear many classics, but also some songs from the later phase of the work.
Since their formation in 1978 in Wirral, England, OMD have combined experimental electronics with catchy pop melodies. Songs like “Enola Gay,” “Souvenir,” “Maid of Orleans” and “If You Leave” became hits. The band made an exclamation mark in 2023 with the political album “Bauhaus Staircase”.
