Frontman takes out resentment on the drums
On Saturday evening, October 18th, the hard rock band played a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina as part of their tour. They opened the show with their hit “Welcome to the Jungle” when Axl Rose suddenly burst into anger. Fan footage shows the singer taking out his frustration on the drums twice.
In the clip, Rose first throws his microphone into the drums with force. Later he climbs onto the drum podium and kicks the bass drum. He then rips off his jacket and storms off the stage. When Rose returns shortly afterwards, he says to the fans: “I’ll just give it a try” – and continues the show.

The reason is now known
After the gig, fans speculated that Axl Rose may have been unhappy with the performance of new drummer Isaac Carpenter. However, according to the Daily Mail, this was not the case. A source close to the frontman explained that Rose had technical problems during the show: he could only hear the drums through his in-ear monitors. However, confirmation from the singer is still pending.
The drummer change took place at the beginning of 2025
Frank Ferrer, the former drummer, was part of the band for almost 20 years and played his last concert with Guns N’ Roses at the end of 2023. According to the band manager, both sides separated “amicably”. Isaac Carpenter has officially been part of the cast since March 2025.
