According to the Public Prosecution Service, the victim joins two boys on 28 June of last year with girlfriends to chill. To her surprise, she is taken to the remote canal path in Muiden, under the viaduct of the A1 along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal.

A group of three women waits for her there. The victim is worked against the ground and beaten against her body and face and kicked by at least two of them. “Why did you lie about Tarik?” And “Are you interested in Tarik?” She hears one of them calling.

According to the victim, she knows the suspect of Snapchat and would have kissed Tarik once. Tarik is said to have had a love relationship with the suspect, although she denies it in court. They would just be friends.

In addition to her phone, code, ID card, items of clothing and gold rings, she also had to give her shoes. Her glasses are broken in half. While she undresses, she is photographed, filmed and is used. Eventually she is on the abandoned path in her underwear. The suspects get in the car and drive away.

The victim puts it on walking and meets two fishermen. They run towards the flight car. But the moment they come close, a firearm is aimed at them, they explain. One of them still knows how to kick a side mirror of the car.

Audibly crying

The Public Prosecution Service suspects a 21-year-old woman from Amsterdam of this theft through violence and extortion. She will be in court for the first time this afternoon in Lelystad.

The entire session through is the victim, who is sitting diagonally behind the suspect with her mother, audibly crying.

“I didn’t do it,” says the suspect. She says she doesn’t know the woman and never saw her.

Two days after the incident, the car is found without a side mirror. In the car, the suspect is together with the relevant Tarik.

But according to the suspect that is a coincidence. It is a car for her work that everyone could use.

“I see the suspect laughing”

After investigating her phone, the suspect appears to be involved in this robbery, the public prosecutor states.

For example, she would have facetimed Tarik at the time of the robbery. According to the suspect, that is a coincidence and she regularly had contact with Tarik during the day.

You can also read on her phone that the woman was looking for a new side mirror. “She was even willing to steal it can be read,” says the public prosecutor. A smile appears on the face of the suspect. “I see the suspect laughing,” the public prosecutor notes. “Yes, because it was a joke,” she reacts curtly. “Yes, that will,” said the officer.

Cell and community service sentence required

The public prosecutor demands 5 months in prison and 240 hours of community service against the woman. In addition, there is also a reporting obligation and outpatient treatment.

When the judge asks if she wants to say anything for her last word, the answer is short: “Uhm, no. I didn’t really think about it. The only thing I want to say is that it wasn’t … and that’s it.”
