Change at the creative tip of Olympus.
The previous Head of Design, Michaela Mutka-Wasling, leaves the shirting manufacturer Olymp Bezner KG, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen in Baden-Württemberg. The company announced on Tuesday that Mutka-Wasling decided to leave Olympus in the middle of 2025 for personal reasons and to take new ground professionally. Her successor will compete with Irmgard, who will take over the management of the creative department on May 1st. In the future, she will report directly to Florian Neu, Director Brand Management & Design.
“For seven and a half years, Michaela Mutka-Wasling significantly shaped the handwriting of our collections and provided an unmistakable product disistence with her pronounced trend gesture,” said Heiko Ihben, Olympus Managing Director for Brand, Product & Human Resources. “We would like to thank her for her passion, her creative commitment and the continuous further development of our ranges.”
Head of Change takes place by Passauer Hirden manufacturer Eterna Mode GmbH to Bietigheim-Bissingen. Since 2022, as a Head of Menswear, she has had management responsibility for the entire design team after she had previously been responsible for the content of the collections. Previously, from 2011 to 2015, she worked as a fire manager of the Hugo Menswear brand at Hugo Boss AG in Metzingen.
In the future, Head of the Business segment and the premium line Olymp Signature will be responsible for the Head of Design. It will be your task to strengthen and consistently expand the core competence of the brand, which is currently in a transformation process towards a lifestyle fire. Part of this transformation is in particular the further development of the core brand in the middle of the market and the premium line. The designated Head of Design takes over responsibility for the implementation of the self -set brand claim to redefine business fashion.
