The fight between Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe was apparently brutal. The incident has serious consequences for the two footballers.

At Olympique Marseille there is a reddish of the alarm level after a violent incident. The French international Adrien Adrien Rabiot (30) and the English U21 national player Jonathan Rowe (22) have no future at the Champions League participant and, according to the official announcement, were put on the transfer list.

The reason for the decision is a serious argument in the changing room after the 0-1 defeat at the start of the season at Stade Rennes. The club spoke of “unacceptable behavior” of the two actors.

OM President Pablo Longoria described the incident to the AFP news agency as “extremely serious and violent, something that I have never experienced before”. What has happened goes far beyond what is acceptable within a club or another organization. Even with the worst fights, there are rules – but “not in this case,” said the Spaniard.

He was not on site himself, Longoria said. However, according to his information, the argument “incredible, brutal, aggressive and beyond all borders”.

Jonathan Rowe was loaned by Norwich City in the past season and was firmly hired this summer for 14.5 million euros. Adrien Rabiot, who comes to 53 caps for France, has also been running for Marseille since the past season.

Longoria emphasized: “As a club we are the victim”. And further: “You have never heard of such a fight in football.”
