OL offensive disappointing

Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid is frustrating and he has recently been linked with a loan move to the Bundesliga. As transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports, Olympique Lyon is working on a loan for the 19-year-old center forward. Despite the good start to the season, Les Gones is particularly struggling on offense.
Endrick moved from Palmeiras to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 for 47.5 million euros – only an 18-year-old has ever been more expensive. The Brazilian signed a contract there until 2030 and had hoped to follow a similar path to his compatriot Vinicius Junior. In his first season he played 847 minutes in 37 games and scored seven goals. A muscle injury put him out of action during summer preparation, but he has been fit again since mid-September. However, he wasn’t on the pitch for a minute for the Royals. Since the transfer, his market value has fallen from €60 million to €35 million – meaning he remains the most valuable teenage centre-forward.
“There is a lot of competition now, both in his position and in the surrounding areas,” said Real coach Xabi Alonso. “Endrick has the goal instinct, a brutal finish and plays great passes. He will get his chances. His time will come.” Several of today’s top players such as Martin Ødegaard, Achraf Hakimi and Takefusa Kubo were denied a breakthrough at a young age with the Royals, which is why they were loaned out. In the end, none of them were able to prevail at Real.
Endrick would be the second professional to make the journey from Madrid to Lyon. Mariano Díaz moved from the Spanish capital to France in the summer of 2017 for 8 million euros, and a year later Real brought him back for 21.5 million euros. With Karim Benzema, Ferland Mendy, Mahamadou Diarra and Díaz, the Madrilenians bought four professionals from Lyon for a total of 130.5 million euros.
With 18 points from nine games, Paulo Fonseca’s team is fourth in Ligue 1, but has a problem in attack. The club only scored 13 goals – ten teams were successful more often. In the summer, Georges Mikautadze, the most accurate attacker, left the club for Villareal FC for 31 million euros. Because Lens loanee Martín Satriano has not yet been able to follow in his footsteps, there is a gap in the attack. Endrick could fill this from January 1st.
