Ukrainian ski jumper Tetyana Pylyptsyuk21, has received a two-year suspension for a doping violation. The competition ban ends on 18 September 2027.
Furosemide, one of the diuretics that helps with rapid weight loss, was found in Pylyptsyuk’s sample. Furosemide can be found on the list of prohibited substances because it can also be used to mask other prohibited substances.
Pylyptsyuk competed for the first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup in 2022. A year earlier, he debuted at the World Championships.
Due to the competition ban, Pylyptsyuk will miss next winter’s Olympics, among other things.
