The 14th day of the competition is coming up. What will be important at the Olympics on Friday, February 20th? The highlights of the day at a glance.

12 p.m.: Ski Freestyle, Ski Cross (F)

When ski rosser Daniela Maier competes for a medal at the Winter Olympics today, she will also have a very special memory with her. The 29-year-old won the bronze medal in her first Olympic participation four years ago in Beijing – but only after a real battle of nerves that lasted over ten months. On Friday Maier can win her second Olympic medal – preferably without any after-effects. Other German starters: Leonie Bachl-Staudinger (TV Schierling), Luisa Klapprott (WSV Samerberg) and Veronika Redder (WSV Glonn).

1.30 p.m.: Ski Freestyle, Aerials Men

It’s not just snowing in the west, center and south of Germany, the snow is also causing a lot of disruption to the freestylers’ Olympic program at the Winter Games. For ski freestylers, the medal decision has been postponed by one day. Instead of Thursday, the aerials will now be about precious metal on Friday. The qualification begins at 10:30 a.m. and the final starts at 1:30 p.m. German athletes are not taking part in the aerials competition.

3 p.m.: Biathlon, mass start (M)

Curtain up on the last men’s biathlon competition in Antholz: The last three medals will be awarded in the mass start. It was Olympic for the first time in 2006 – and Michael Greis went down in history as the first mass start Olympic champion. Gold for a DSV ski hunter in Antholz would be a surprise given his previous individual performances. Philipp Nawrath, Philipp Horn and David Zobel will go on the cross-country ski trail for 15 kilometers from 3 p.m.

4.30 p.m.: Speed skating, 1500 m (F)

Today the focus is on speed skaters in Milan’s ice oval. We are looking for the Olympic champion over 1,500 meters. Top favorites: Miho Takagi (Japan) and Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong (Netherlands). And the Germans? Only Lea Sophie Scholz starts, but only has outsider chances.

6 p.m.: Bobsleigh, two-man bobsleigh (F)

After a day’s break, it’s back to business in the Germans’ favorite hotspot. The first two runs in the women’s two-man bobsleigh are taking place on the bobsleigh and toboggan run in Cortina. Laura Nolte, Kim Kalicki and Lisa Buckwitz follow the example of the bobsleigh boys and give Team D another triple victory. The foundation will be laid today, and the medals will be up for grabs on Saturday (7 p.m. live on Sportschau).

7.30 p.m.: Ski Freestyle, Halfpipe (M)

Not a German starter, but a breathtaking sport: During the ski freestyle competition in the halfpipe, the athletes fly through the air. Who shows and stands the most difficult jumps? With a view to the previous achievements Finley Melville Ives (New Zealand), Hunter Hess (USA), Birk Irving (USA)

9.30 p.m.: Short track, relay (M), 1,500 m (F)

This fast-paced sport takes place without German participation. In the 5,000 meter relay race, Canada and the Netherlands are the hottest contenders for gold. The women’s race is about victory over 1,500 meters. If everything goes according to plan, South Korea will celebrate gold with Gil-Li Kim and Min-Jeong Choi. The worst opponent is Courtney Sarault from Canada.
