Olivier Vandecasteele reacts for the first time via bosom friend: “All the support moves me to tears several times a day”

After being held in an Iranian prison for 1.5 years, Olivier Vandecasteele still has to get home for a while. Dozens of friends and acquaintances are now walking the ’20 km through Brussels’ for him today. In a message for the runners, Vandecasteele, through his bosom friend Olivier Van Steirtegem, made himself heard for the first time since his return to Belgium. He says he is very moved with all the support. Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (Open Vld), once again defends the government’s decisions in the matter.
