The 38-year-old Usyk owned the world titles at three boxing unions (WBA, WBC and WBO) prior to the game, his opponent Dubois (27) arrived in London as title holder of the IBF. The winner of the Clash at Wembley would therefore get all the world titles in one fell swoop.
What do Usyk and Dubois get for their world title fight?
Even before both gentlemen were in the ring, the cash register already rang. Usyk has a sloppy 132 million dollars. Whether he would win or lose the game did not matter. Dubois was already assured of a good $ 70 million.

Almost two years ago, in August 2023, both gentlemen also faced each other. Dubois seemed to hit Usyk in the 5th round, but referee Luis Pabon called a ‘low stroke’. Usyk used the permitted time to recover and eventually won in the ninth round, when Dubois was forced on his knee and was counted down.
Usyk was therefore determined to treat Dubois in the crazy Wembley for at least 90,000 spectators again to a punishment. With 23 games in a row won, the trust with the Ukrainian was towering.
And that turned out not to be unjustified. Dubois resisted extremely very hard and lasted well. In the fifth round, Usyk handed out the final knockout and left no doubt about who is currently the very best.
