Kiev (dpa -AfX) – Ukraine receives further support from Canada in its defense against the Russian army. During his visit to Kiev on the Independence Day of Ukraine, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney agreed to the country a billion dollar weapon package.
With a view to the package, which was announced for the first time at the G-7 summit in Canada, Canada’s government spoke of a scope of two billion Canadian dollars ($ 1.23 billion). Ukrainian media, on the other hand, estimated the value at one billion Canadian dollars ($ 617 million).
The package already announced for September includes armored vehicles, medical equipment, ammunition and drones, as the Canadian government now announced.
Carney does not exclude Canadian troops in Ukraine
