After many years of memories and friendships, the school building in Norg comes to an end. The building, which has had generations of children under his roof, will soon be demolished to make way for a brand new accommodation for current and future children.

“There is leakage and the building is really finished,” says director Han Kemker. “We leave it temporarily, but hope to return to a completely renovated Hekakker in December 2026.”

Before the time comes, the history of the school is extensively considered. Former students and employees can recall memories at an exhibition, where music can also be heard from former teachers. Anyone who has sat on the Hekakker may see themselves back on the special Wall of Fame.

A walking route has been set out with quiz questions through the village and various locations are open during the day, including the old school, the Brinkhof, the Molens and the Church.

The farewell ends with a festive evening in the Brinkhof. From 8 p.m. a DJ runs the first albums in the sports hall, after which the six-member North Brabant band Slamm enters the stage. The party lasts until midnight.

In the meantime, the current students are mainly looking forward to the new building and of course at the summer holidays.
