If you missed Oasis’ reunion tour this year, feel free to “look back angrily” – because you might actually have missed something. The future of the reunion is set after a series of pointed social media posts from Liam Gallagher.

Social media responses cause confusion

Over the past 24 hours, the singer played directly with fans’ feelings and gave harsh, snappy answers to questions about the band. “Will there be a 2026 tour?” someone asked. “NO,” he replied in all caps. “ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?” asked another. “YES, I’M FUCKING SERIOUS,” he wrote back – apostrophe implied. “[Wird] “There will be a tour in 2027,” another asked. “Maybe,” he replied – with just a single capital letter, meaning he probably whispered it like Marlon Brando “The horror, the horror” at the end of “Apocalypse Now”.

This exchange came just before the final date of the reunion in Brazil this weekend. His indecision shouldn’t surprise anyone, though, as he’d already given a smarmy answer to a fan when he asked if he was sad that the tour was ending. “I’m not because I know things you don’t know,” he wrote last Wednesday.

Doubts about the progress of the tour

When a fan asked if he had been scolded for saying “see you next year” at concerts, he replied that someone – no mention of Noel – had responded with “a few toots and raised eyebrows”.

“You’ll see me next year and the year after that and so on, I’m just not sure if it’ll be with Oasis yet,” he wrote in a very long box sentence, which we’ll break down now so you can take a breath. “We need to sit down and discuss these things, if it were up to me alone you would know that we would tour until we die because it is the best thing in the world, but UNFORTUNATELY it is not” (no period, capitalization his).

In another message he added: “I can’t conjure up a tour, it is what it is and probably for the best.” If you are afraid of missing out, you should book your plane tickets to Brazil quickly.
