The number of traffic fatalities in our country increased slightly in the first six months of this year, from 201 to 209, but a striking increase can be observed especially during week nights: from 19 to 34 traffic fatalities. “That is the second highest number in the last ten years,” says Vias. There were even more deaths during week nights than during weekend nights (29), a phenomenon that should be closely monitored, it said.
