Number of confirmed infections doubled in children and young people last week

The number of corona infections is still rising sharply. There are now 31,780 (+34 percent) new infections per day. There is a strong increase in children (0-19 years) in particular. “The number of confirmed infections there has doubled in the past week,” notes UGent researcher Bart Mesuere.
