Solar energy production in Belgium has increased by 21 percent in 2025 and has reached a record high. Due to this remarkable increase, the share of renewable energy in the Belgian electricity mix is now almost as high as that of nuclear energy. They both arrive at 34 percent. This was evident from figures from high-voltage manager Elia on Friday.
