– I was so angry. We had interviews after that, but I didn’t say anything for a long time.
– I was angry that after all that hard work, I wouldn’t get recognition for it.
However, Harjuniemi says that in the end, disappointment began to change to understanding that he passed the camp’s tasks except for the last mistake and did not hand over until the last day.
– The things I got with me are much bigger and are not stuck with that recognition.
– If I had to decide if I would do the other way and press the other down because I could get up myself, I would never work so.
“Last torture”
Harjuniemi couldn’t wait to call Special forcesprogram. Deal Instead, Harjuniemi, who became known, said he had watched the series on television and mainly pondered that fortunately I don’t have to be there.

– Yes, during the night I wondered many times if this is obligatory or really necessary.
– I was surprised that I thought so. You would think that you would understand that you are on a television program and could be left out at any time. But it’s no longer an option.
– On the other hand, I was so tired, hungry and cold that reality was starting to blur.
Also, recovery from experience turned out to be surprisingly heavy for Harjuniemi, especially mentally.
– Two weeks went by that I saw nightmares. I remember sleeping a knife on the bedside table for probably a couple of weeks, until my spouse Essi said it was enough now, Harjuniemi laughs afterwards.
The nightmares, especially during the last task, repeated the arrest situation.
– At that moment, I didn’t even experience it so pregnant, but for some reason it often repeated in dreams.

Physically, Harjuniemi says he has found a whole new gear for training when he returned home from the camp. He tells how weight dropped about eight pounds in 12 days.
– After the first workout, I vomited because I was able to pull myself so far, he says of the change in his physical boundaries.
Like your brother
Harjuniemi’s big brother Vertti has also participated Special forcesprogram. During the season, the trainers often compared the brothers in their speech.
Harjuniemi tells Iltalehti that he has become accustomed to comparison over the years. On the other hand, he feels that the brothers live a very different life and did not see the comparison of the program as necessary.
– It really felt a bit invented, he comments.
Harjuniemi also estimates that the brothers are more valued even more.
– Both can confidently trust each other that neither will end the mental or physical capacity, anywhere in life. You can always trust that the nephew is there, says Harjuniemi.
Harjuniemi feels that for 12 days In special forces helped find your own motivation deep and sharpen your own values.

Traumas on the surface
Later, recovering my own experiences on television has been “traumatic” according to Harjuniemi.
– Those same feelings re -emerge. When you look, you remember that feeling, smell, collapse and all the strong memories from there.
However, Harjuniemi found that in the last episodes he does not have as strong memories, although he remembers the first episodes of the knife.
– Hunger, cold and minor sleep are starting to do their job and you seem to start working with such a autopilot.
