Ristomatti Hakola and Lauri Vuorinen They received a nice compensation for their World Championship silver.

The International Ski Association FIS distributes the prize money to the best of every race trip. In the pair sprint, the World Championship silver is 14,400 Switzerland francs, which corresponds to about € 15,000. Of course, the duo of this sum divides in half.

In addition, the duo receives success bonuses from their personal partners and from the Finnish Ski Association.

The exact amount paid by the National Federation is not known.

-The Ski Association will pay the success of the World Championships a success bonus, which is of the same order as in the previous World Cup and the same as the prize money paid in the race. Bonuses are paid for both individual and team competitions. Those amounts are defined in our confidential athlete agreement, and unfortunately I can’t mention the exact amounts here, the Administrative Manager of the Ski Association Marleena Valtasola told Iltalehti earlier.

Vuorinen won his second medal for these races. The Finn received about EUR 9,500 from FIS for Sprint’s bronze.

The Finnish two now can afford quite a few whales packages. Pasi Liesimaa
