The November winners of the TFF Fair Play Awards, organized by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) to encourage, disseminate and raise awareness of Fair Play, were determined by the Fair Play and Social Responsibility Board.
TFF Fair Play and Social Responsibility Board, chaired by Ali Erten and consisting of Mustafa Sait Gönen, Burhanettin Hacıcaferoğlu, Fatma Ayanoğlu, Banu Yelkovan, Attila Gökçe, Ömer Üründül, Berrin Altınöz and Metin Tekin, made their evaluations for November.
As a result of the evaluations made by the board members, those who were deemed worthy of awards in the “Most Gentleman Team”, “Most Gentleman Coach”, “Most Gentleman Football Player” categories and their reasons were determined as follows:
THE MOST GENTLEMAN TEAM: SAMSUNSPOR
In the Samsunspor – Beşiktaş match played in the Super League on November 26, for the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women”, he took to the field wearing a jersey designed in purple, the color of resistance and solidarity, and with the words “No to Violence Against Women” written on it in 15 different languages. Samsunspor, which named the jersey ‘The Heaviest Jersey in the World’, became the most gentlemanly team of November.
THE MOST GENTLEMAN COACH DIRECTOR: IVO VIEIRA (PENDİKSPOR)
Despite losing 4-1 away to Başakşehir in the 13th week of the Super League, Pendikspor Coach Ivo Vieira made his own objective self-criticism, congratulated his opponent for playing better, and did not change his stance on the field regardless of the score. With these features, Pendikspor Coach Ivo Vieira is the Super League winner of November. He was chosen as the ‘Most Gentleman Coach’ in the league.
THE MOST GENTLEMAN FOOTBALL PLAYER: EDIN VISCA (TRABZONSPOR)
Bosnian football player Edin Visca, who played 448 matches in Turkey, stands out as the name who played the most in the Turkish Leagues among the foreign football players. Visca has statistics of 120 goals and 131 assists in his career in Turkey, which has been continuing since 2011. Visca, who received his only red card in his professional football career (due to the second yellow card) when he played for Başakşehir in the 2019-2020 season, does not have a direct red card. Edin Visca was determined as the most gentlemanly football player of November with his professional approach to his profession, respectful and exemplary behavior towards his teammates, rivals and all stakeholders of football.
Moreover; At the ceremony of the special match it played against Germany on November 18, the National Men’s Football Team gave their tracksuits to the children they attended the ceremony with so that they would not get cold and was applauded all over the world for these actions. This behavior was found praiseworthy by the board.
