Novak Djokovic’s participation in the US Open is no longer an obstacle! – Breaking Tennis news

With the announcement that the requirement to be vaccinated for foreign nationals who want to enter the USA will be lifted, Serbian athlete Novak Djokovic paved the way for playing in the US Open Grand Slam Tennis Tournament, which he could not attend last year.

In the statement made by the White House, it was announced that the vaccination obligation decision taken due to the Kovid-19 outbreak in 2021 will end on May 11 for federal employees and non-American citizens traveling by air.

Thus, Serbian tennis player Djokovic, who is at the top of the men’s world rankings, has no obstacle to compete in the 2023 US Open, which will be held from August 28 to September 10.

Djokovic, who refused to be vaccinated, could not attend the US Open, where he won 3 of the 22 grand slam titles (2011, 2015, 2018), on the grounds that he did not meet the Kovid-19 requirements last year.

Djokovic participated in the Australian Open this year, where he could not take part because he was deported from the country in 2022 due to the vaccination obligation, and won his 10th championship in the tournament.
