No repetition of the fairy tale in the CEV Cup two years ago, then Knack Roeselare played the final against the Italian Modena. After a strong campaign in the Champions League, the West Flemish people ended up in the second European competition again. In the quarterfinals, a double confrontation against the French tours awaited

In the first match, Knack started strongly, but gave it a 2-0 bonus away and Roeselare eventually lost 2-3. In the return match it had to win in Tours to have a chance to win the semi -finals. Roeselare had to do without game distributor Stijn d’Hulst, but still started the game well. Halfway through the first set it was 8-12. The French opponent fought back to 20-20 and finally took set one with 25-21.

The second set was the same as 18-17, afterwards tours shifted a level higher in-house and steamed it on towards 25-19 set win. Knack completely with the back against wall so and set three also brought no get well. The French continued on their impetus and via 19-13 it eventually became 25-17 and a 3-0 victory for Tours. End of story for Roeselare in Europe.

The West Flemish people are not allowed to leave the head down because the cup final will follow next Sunday. Then Volley is waiting for a West-Flemish cup clash in the Antwerp Sportpaleis.
