NOS, Bloomberg and BBC out of Russia, CNN stops broadcasting: New law appears to “criminalize independent journalism”

The public broadcasters of the Netherlands and Great Britain are withdrawing their journalists from Russia. So does the American news agency Bloomberg. The decision comes after new legislation prohibits the reporting of “fake news” about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The American news channel CNN has announced that it will stop its broadcasts in Russia. The Kremlin-critical ‘Novaya Gazeta’ also had to intervene because of censorship.
