The goals that brought Norway the victory were Erling Haaland in the 29th and 43rd minutes, Leo Oestigaard in the 76th minute and 90+7. Kristian Thorstvedt scored in the minute. Iraq’s only goal came from Aymen Hussein in the 39th minute.

With this match, Norway started the World Cup with a victory after 28 years and managed to score 3 points in its first match in Group I. Iraq, on the other hand, failed to score points in its first World Cup after 40 years.
