North Holland is covered under a tiny layer of snow, although it is short-lived

Those who look out of the window this morning may be shocked: it is snowing in various places in the province. At least in Haarlem and Hilversum, and the area in between, some wet snow is falling from the sky.

We won’t call it a real white blanket, because even though the flakes seem large, it doesn’t really stay down for the time being.

According to NH weatherman Jan Visser, a little snow was expected, but it is now actually going a lot faster than expected. Exactly how long it will continue to snow is not clear, but according to Visser it will probably turn into rain at the end of the morning.

The fact that snow is still falling at the end of February is not very special, in contrast to other weather phenomena that we see this week. That’s how it is northern Lights can already be seen two evenings in a row – with a long shutter speed.
