Brit Cameron Norrie continues to impress at the US Open.

The ninth in the world rankings made it into the round of 16 at the last Grand Slam tournament of the year without losing a set. The 27-year-old defeated top Danish talent Holger Rune 7-5, 6-4, 6-1 on Saturday.

For Norrie, it’s already the best performance in New York. The left-hander caused a stir at Wimbledon when he was only stopped in the semi-finals by eventual tournament winner Novak Djokovic. At the US Open, Norrie is up against Russia’s Andrey Rublev or Canada’s Denis Shapovalov for a place in the quarter-finals.

Shooting star Carlos Alcaraz also leaves nothing to burn. The 19-year-old Spaniard won 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 against local hero Jenson Brooksby and now meets the winner of the match between Croatian Marin Cilic and Briton Daniel Evans.
