Nordic Combined Lillehammer Women: Live Ticker – HS 100, 5km

13:55

Westvold Hansen before the next victory

After half time it almost seems as if victory in today’s competition is already taken. Westvold Hansen once again lived up to her exceptional position and left the track with an enormous lead of 57 seconds over her first pursuer. Since she is also extremely strong in cross-country skiing, a lot would have to happen for victory to be stolen from her.

13:46

Welcome back!

Welcome back to the Women’s Nordic Combined in Lillehammer. At 2:05 p.m. the cross-country skiing starts over the five kilometers.

11:14

Cross-country skiing at 2:05 p.m

For the moment we say goodbye to Nordic Combined in Lillehammer. It continues at 2:05 p.m. with cross-country skiing over the five kilometers!

11:13

Good ÖSV interim balance

The interim balance in the ÖSV should be positive. Lisa Hirner is right at the front and Annalena Slamik was also able to get a good starting position for the afternoon with tenth place. Claudia Purker will start the cross-country skiing from twelfth place.

11:12

Three DSV combined athletes in the top ten

A lot is possible for the German combined athletes today. Armbruster is 19 seconds behind the podium and with Yuna Kasai she has an athlete at her side who can also run forward on the track. Svenja Würth is sixth and Jenny Nowak is also in the top ten in eighth place. For Magdalena Burger, it’s about moving from 16th place into the top ten. Maria Gerboth is 18th after jumping, while Cindy Haasch is 22nd.

11:10

Westvold Hansen escapes the competition

Gyda Westvold Hansen has shown once again that she is an exceptional athlete. Although she had less run-up, she was able to show the longest distance and is already 57 seconds ahead of Annika Sieff from Italy. So it seems clear that it will probably only be about second place in cross-country skiing again. Lisa Hirner is only a second behind Sieff and Nathalie Armbruster is still in the middle of the podium fight.

11:07

Gyda Westvold Hansen (NOR)

Who can beat this woman?! On her home hill, Gyda Westvold Hansen starts with two hatches less and still has the best distance of the round at the end! After 98 meters she clenches her fists and cheers in the direction of the audience. With a lead of 57 seconds nobody will be able to take away her victory today!

11:06

Annika Sieff (ITA)

Can Annika Sieff now ensure the change at the top? The Italian is known as a strong jumper. She comes off the table well again and there aren’t many mistakes to be seen. With 94.5 meters she stays under the distance of Hirner, but in return she gets fewer deductions for the wind and so it is just enough for the lead.

11:04

Nathalie Armbruster (GER)

Nathalie Armbruster is no slouch either! The young DSV athlete shows that she wants to fight for the podium again and with 92.5 meters she is second behind Hirner.

11:03

Lisa Hirner (AUT)

Lisa Hirner ensures the change in leadership! The athlete from Austria lies down on the air cushion and shoots out the 95.5 meters. It misses Yuna Kasai by 19 seconds.

11:02

Ida Marie Hagen (NOR)

Ida Marie Hagen lands on exactly the same distance and the Norwegian should be quite happy with that, because she knows that she is one of the strongest athletes in the field in the cross-country ski run. If the top four don’t jump around her ears right away, you have to reckon with her!

11:02

Jenny Nowak (GER)

Jenny Nowak cannot keep up with the width of the Japanese, but still has all the possibilities for cross-country skiing. After 88 meters and 33 seconds behind, she is in good third place. The podium is possible again!

11:00 a.m

Yuna Kasai (JPN)

Her twin sister has already put herself in a top starting position, can Yuna Kasai now follow suit? And how! At 92.5 meters, it sets the new maximum distance and overtakes Würth by 19 seconds.

11:00 a.m

Ema Volavsek (SLO)

Ema Volavsek also shows a decent jump and gets into position with 88 meters. You will certainly have to take them into account for the podium places if yesterday’s top athletes don’t go much further.

10:59

Haruka Kasai (JPN)

Haruka Kasai does better and manages to tease 88.5 meters out of her jump. It ranks second behind Würth. The gap for the Japanese, who is considered a strong runner, is currently 17 seconds.

10:58

Lena Brocard (FRA)

Lena Brocard from France opens the last group of ten. Yesterday she did quite well with tenth place, today it will be more difficult for her. After 81 meters she will have to rely on her running form again.

10:55

Magdalena Burger (GER)

She won’t be completely satisfied with her performance, because things went much better on the hill. After 82 meters, she initially ranks in seventh place. It seems to be about a place in midfield again.

10:55

Annalena Slamik (AUT)

Annalena Slamik is a little too steep in the air and takes a few meters as a result. All in all, however, the result is a good distance and at 89 meters it remains just below the K-point.

10:53

Veronica Gianmoena (ITA)

Like Würth, Veronica Gianmoena comes from ski jumping, but has to admit defeat to the German by a few meters. With 85 meters she is already a bigger deficit.

10:52

Svenja Würth (GER)

Class! Svenja Würth is the first athlete to jump the K-point on the normal hill in Lillehammer. The grades are low after her attempt at 91 meters, but it’s still enough to take first place with a lead of half a minute.

10:52

Anju Nakamura (JPN)

Anju Nakamura is one of the strongest cross-country skiers and when she’s on the hill, you always have to keep her in mind. With 83 meters, things are going better for her than yesterday and she is initially in third place.

10:51

Sana Azegami (JPN)

Sana Azegami attacks the top of Purker as the first athlete and it goes down to 83.5 meters. The grades are solid and the deductions are limited. Where does Azegami come out? Second place.

10:50

Marte Leinan Lund (NOR)

Marte Leinan Lund was anything but happy after yesterday’s competition. But even today things are not going well for the Norwegian. At 81.5 meters, she already leaves a lot on the hill.

10:49

Claudia Purker (AUT)

Claudia Purker is one of the best jumpers in the field and now she can show it. With 86.5 meters it goes to the front of the field. Where it comes out at the end, will show in the course of the passage.

10:48

Cindy Haasch (GER)

It’s the next German athlete’s turn. What can Cindy Haasch get for a starting position for cross-country skiing? The conditions are good and the jump is too short for that. Haasch misses the jump and delivers a really restless flight. At 79.5 meters, it is half a minute behind the current leader.

10:46

Alva Thors (FIN)

Alva Thors would have to get to 80 meters for the lead to change. A mark that she just barely can crack. The jump ends for Thors at 79 meters.

10:45

Maria Gerboth (GER)

Maria Gerboth landed exactly the same distance as her competitor and she also has 83 meters on the scoreboard. Where does she get that? Just behind Korhonen in second place.

10:45

Minja Korhonen (FIN)

Minja Korhonen can go a little further and for the young Finn it’s down to 83 meters. After a really good summer, it is now important for them to keep calm and slowly get into winter shape. The approaches are definitely there and the mood is good.

10:44

Mille-Marie Hagen (NOR)

We’ll see her sister later, but now it’s Mille Marie Hagen’s turn. The jumping technique is not yet fully developed, but with 80 meters she can now take first place. She just managed to get ahead of Verbic.

10:42

Annika Malacinski (USA)

Annika Malacinski first has to wait because the wind is outside the corridor, but when she is lowered she cannot use the quite strong updraft and lands at 70 meters. Through the triggers it goes directly far back.

10:41

Silva Verbic (SLO)

Silva Verbic is now responsible for the change at the top. Although she has big problems in the first leg of her flight, she remains brave and at least makes it to the 80 meters. If she gets to the point with her jumping technique, then you can certainly count on her on the hill.

10:40 a.m

Thea Øihaugen (NOR)

Thea Øihaugen should slowly be introduced to the top of the world and will show up in front of her home crowd in the World Cup. After 74.5 meters, she initially has third place.

10:39

Alexa Brabec (US)

For her part, Alexa Brabec from the USA remains well ahead of the K-point distance in Lillehammer and will therefore find it difficult to take a good result with her.

10:38

Tereza Koldovska (CZE)

Tereza Koldovská makes it from gate 14 to the 70 meters. In contrast to the rehearsal, the first athletes have one gate less run-up. Especially for the still inexperienced athletes, this should definitely be noticeable in the jumps.

10:37

Jolena Hradilova (CZE)

Jolena Hradilova can do a few more meters and for her it will be 73.5 meters that will jump out in the end. But even that is not a brand against which the competitors have to measure themselves.

10:36

Annamaija Oinas (FIN)

Annamaija Oinas from Finland opens the ski jumping round. For the young athlete it goes down to 64 meters. We will certainly see athletes who can get a lot more out of it.

10:27

That’s how the test went

In the pre-competition rehearsal, Gyda Westvold Hansen showed once again that if you want to get to the top of the podium, you have to beat her. With 94 meters she showed the best jump despite two gates less than the athletes directly behind her. Annika Sieff jumped 92.5 meters. Things went well again for Lisa Hirner and Nathalie Armbruster, who found themselves in third and fourth place.

10:21

Good conditions

The conditions in Lillehammer are good again today. The wind is stable and has little to no effect on the jumps. As a result, nothing stands in the way of another fair competition. Again 30 athletes are at the start.

10:15

ÖSV trio

For the Austrians, it should be Lisa Hirner again, who can be considered for a good result. She currently has the best balance of both sub-disciplines. For their part, Annalena Slamik and Claudia Puker have to stalk their way back to the front after injuries. It was already going well for Slamik, Purker still has reserves in the cross-country ski run.

10:09 a.m

would like more

After the strong success, the German combined athletes certainly want more and also have the opportunity to dust off a good result again. In addition to Armbruster, Jenny Nowak can certainly hope for a good result again. Magdalena Burger and Svenja Würth also started the winter positively. Cindy Haasch and Maria Gerboth certainly had hoped for more in the first competition, for whom it is now a matter of ticking off Friday and concentrating on today.

10:02 a.m

Armbruster gets first podium for DSV women

Gyda Westvold Hansen won yesterday in Lillehammer by a wide margin and the Norwegian should be the big favorite again today, but behind her it is evident that many strong athletes are moving up. One of them is 16-year-old Nathalie Armbruster, who made the first German podium for the combined women in the World Cup on Friday. With a great form from the hill and in the cross-country ski run, she was third behind the Italian Sieff.

Warm welcome

Hello and welcome to the Lillehammer Women’s Nordic Combined! The live ticker starts in good time before the start of the competition.
