The municipality of Noordenveld is budgeting almost €500,000 for adjustments to the current town hall. This money should make the working environment safer, healthier and more effective. According to the municipality, the need for the adjustments has been present for a long time and the council unanimously approved the proposal.

The adjustments must be made in the short term. While the first step towards a future town hall was taken at the end of October last year with a preparation budget of 600,000 euros. Because it may take years before everything is actually completed, the municipality believes it is necessary to make improvements now.

For example, the municipality’s access security must be renewed because the current system is “severely outdated and no longer meets the necessary safety requirements.” To make the working environment healthier, the heating and ventilation system must be adjusted and acoustic wallpaper must be installed on various walls in the ‘new building’ to prevent dizziness, for example.
