Gallagher jokes that Swift was afraid Healy would take his feud against him too far.
Noel Gallagher has jokingly hinted that he was partly to blame for Matt Healy and Taylor Swift’s split. The pop singer and the 1975 head had been a couple for a while, which didn’t go unnoticed by Gallagher, 56. He was a guest on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast on June 11, where he spoke about his feud with Healy, among other things.

For Gallagher it was clear that the two stars had to separate. Taylor Swift told Healy to “keep your nose out of the Gallagher business.” “He couldn’t help it,” he continued. Gallagher continued, “Swifty, bless her, said, ‘I can’t handle this shit because once he’s with you [Matt Healy] When it’s done, he’ll be after me, and I’m not going to put up with that. So sorry Matty, you have to go.”
He ironically alluded to the ongoing dispute between himself and 34-year-old Healy. The latter once claimed Liam and Noel Gallagher needed to “grow up” and get Oasis back together. “There’s not a kid that goes to a High Flying Birds concert or a Liam Gallagher concert that wouldn’t rather be at an Oasis gig,” he once said. The quarreling brothers both responded to the accusation. Liam wrote online, “Who made him head of time?”, while Noel responded even more irrelevantly to Healy’s testimony: “Oh, that fucking prick”. Healy himself had to think about “how shit his band is and break up,” he added.
The 1975 singer responded to Noel Gallagher’s insult during a performance in Dublin. “The difference between me and Noel is that I do a series of interviews to promote an album while he does an album to promote a series of interviews,” he said on stage.
According to media reports, Healy and Swift’s relationship ended after they realized they weren’t really compatible. In addition, they are currently too busy for a relationship anyway: Taylor Swift is with her “eras‘ tour of North America en route. Matt Healy and The 1975 touring currently touring Europe and playing at the “Southside” festival in Neuhausen am Eck on June 16th.
