Episode 11: choosing, getting acquainted and on the road.
Janine (31), sheep farmer
Outside the wind chill was -2, but inside a set of thermal underwear was not a luxury either. Our Yvon was on her way to the deep south, but the shepherdess still didn’t know who to give her heart to. Well, actually she knew very well, but why didn’t the boy say anything? The farmer’s wife made one last attempt, hoping the truck driver would take his hands out of his pockets and fall into her arms, but the sweetheart couldn’t get past what his dream woman said.
The blonde called in two more helplines and finally chose border collie-Sander, but the Limburger didn’t seem really relieved. Did she immediately regret her choice? Janine felt a little more at ease in the gray men’s house of the Friesian, although she seemed especially happy that Sander didn’t treat her like the cherry farmer’s Wendy…
Jouke (31), dairy farmer
We can be brief about the life of the Frisian this week.
1. Apart from some automation gimmicks (of which Jouke is certainly not jealous), a Brabant farm differs little from a Frisian one.
2. Jouke likes red and white cows and Karlijn likes black ones.
3. The blonde is on the left, the farmer on the right.
4. De Fries is still a hotel for the woman with the sultry eyes. So, well. Now it really starts!
Hans (69), horse breeder
De Brabander cycled through the Zeeland world of Annette. And in her world you drink tea, not coffee. But even that couldn’t spoil the horse breeder’s mood, because he was sitting on a bench with his pigeon. He did wonder why Annette had bought food for an orphanage, but she had seen him eat his pie and was on the safe side.
With the HANS leadership, the brunette received the blessing of her children and the suitcases were packed for a weekend in Ireland. They danced through the corridors of the Irish castle and dined by the light of a hundred candles. Annette toasted to a few beautiful days in the bridal suite, Hans went a step further: he wanted to drink to a bright future. Falling in love later in life: Annette read it in the books, but thought it was not for her. But hey, now it’s her time. Enjoy with a capital G.
Rob (52), fruit grower
The ray of sunshine in Rob’s heart drily concluded that the fruit grower was still “very excited” about Wendy. I think that’s putting it mildly. The farmer was enthusiastic about Wendy’s duvet and her functional furnishing, but for the woman herself he felt a THOUSAND BUTTERFLIES.
De Gelderlander realized that he was now in ‘Wendy’s frame’. Only the farmer himself knows what that means, but it was important: if this went well, an important step would have been taken.
At the reception of the French hotel, it became clear that the cherry farmer is far from being there yet. flirty-Wendy definitely felt something sparkle, but could those beds also be at least one and a half meters away? The blonde feared nighttime jumping. She wanted a room to herself so he wouldn’t stare at her all night.
Rob&roll, who was already ready for his next performance, spoke of an imbalance that he had to give a place. He knew perfectly well what he had to do: DON’T JUMP ON THE OTHER! And then he gave his dream woman another unsolicited kiss. This is going to be a very long weekend.
Evert (58), dairy farmer
Finally the time had come, the moment of choice. It hadn’t been this exciting on Dutch television since the Idols final between Jim and Jamai. Was it Nans or was it Maud? In any case, the ladies were both eager to be chosen. HammockMaud was still trembling on her legs as a 32-year-old and Nans saw a depth in the farmer that he himself had no knowledge of. The brunette was right about that, because the farmer held an excellent exit interview with the woman who had dared it after all (that’s Nans!).
Nobody would have thought this possible, but the Drent was hanging in a hammock in a minimalist new house. Well, nobody… Hammock-Maud knew long before connecting, mirroring and looking in the mirror. The man with the big hands and the woman with the Gooische R: it’s not right, but that’s what makes it so interesting.
Elselien van Dieren (31) forces her boyfriend Farmer seeks wife to watch. Horse posters used to hang in her room, but she resolutely removed them when she was bitten by a pony.
