The ski head coach will change after the 2025-26 season, as Teemu Pasanen, who has run the helm since 2020, will give up.
Pasanen has been an excellent attachment for the Ski Association, as he is a knowledgeable, diligent and a person who is capable of peaceful cooperation with sudden skiing personalities.
Above all, Viitasaari’s landson is a very cheap man for the Ski Association.
So inexpensive that no one at a similar level would do the same work with just as little compensation.

Of course, there are tax -free daily allowances and kilometer allowances. At most, Pasanen has been on the road for about 250 days a year.

The job description of the Ski Association’s head coach includes little coaching work. From time to time, Pasanen, who is comfortable with computers, is a tour manager, a team leader, a statistical expert and a media organizer.
A 50-year-old bachelor living in Espoo is Spartan. It is not exaggerated to say that a man occasionally thrives around the clock. At night, it’s a good time to code and reserve airline tickets.
The ski coach must be teflon for internal and external criticism. Here, Pasanen has been a masterpiece.
– No Finn in some way and credible ski coach jumps into Pasanen’s boots with that salary and that amount of work. The salary should be at least the same as the CEO Hämäläinen, says the Finnish ski champion coach.
