Since 2014, at least 15 deaths and 54 seriously injured have occurred on the short stretch of highway of the A12 between Meise and Puurs-Sint-Amands, according to Vias Institute figures. This means that part of the A12 scores significantly worse than the Flemish and Belgian highways. Last weekend, the Death Road once again underlined its feared reputation with two fatalities. What is wrong with the A12? “It is a motorway that is not actually one, with all the dangerous conditions that entails.”
