Nirvana release 30th anniversary deluxe edition of IN UTERO

The album contains, among other things, the live recordings of the band’s last concert in Seattle.

When IN UTERO first appeared in 1993, it was a reflection of its time and reflected Nirvana’s emotional state at the time. Kurt Cobain’s discomfort with the band’s celebrity status particularly shaped the album. Now the grunge band’s successful record is being honored with a deluxe edition.

53 bonus tracks for the anniversary

The songs include a total of 53 previously unreleased pieces. In addition to the remastered versions of the original tracks and the B-sides, two complete concerts from the “IN UTERO” era are included, including the band’s last performance in Seattle in 1994. Six of the bonus live tracks were recorded at concerts recorded in Rome, Springfield and New York. The remastered songs come from Bob Weston, the only sound engineer besides Steve Albini, who assisted on the original sessions.

The deluxe version of IN UTERO is available in various formats: a limited 8 LP super deluxe box, a 5 CD super deluxe box, a 2 CD deluxe edition, a 1 LP vinyl edition and a digital super Deluxe Edition. All information about the individual box sets can be found on the Nirvana website.
