Niko Springer is becoming more and more sustainable in the darts world. In Hildesheim he unexpectedly beat a superstar of the scene.

Springer used these weaknesses and showed a solid performance himself. The 24-year-old tour of the tour played an average of 88.94 points and met 35.3 percent of his attempts (six out of 17).
After his coup against van Gerwen, Springer made it to the round of 16, where he had to give up Dirk van Duijvenbode with 4: 6.
