Radio host Niko Saarinen39, revealed Thursday of NRJ in the morning broadcast about his random toilet habits.
Saarinen said in the broadcast that he might sometimes make a “palm cake”. According to the presenter, the term means that a piece of paper is placed on the palm of the hand to defecate on. Then the excrement is slid from the palm of the hand into the pot without a sound.
– Precisely because it [uloste] you don’t fall into the pit, Saarinen explained.
– I’m in shock! host couple Marie-Princessa shocked.

Iltalehti caught up with Saarinen, who says that he thought everyone knew this toilet habit. The host says that he “poops on his palm” in, for example, gas station toilets. He emphasizes that he does not perform the procedure when he is alone at home.
– If you have a date at home, and you don’t want him to hear you going to the bathroom, the only right way is palm poop, says the presenter.

In Saarinen’s opinion, it would be impractical, for example, to put toilet paper at the bottom of the toilet to dampen the sound.
– There is always the possibility that you don’t know the suction power of the toilet bowl, so in the worst case it gets blocked, the presenter explains.
– There is not so much toilet paper in the poop palm. I would say that this is also an ecological way, he continues.
And can you accidentally get feces on your hand during such a procedure? Saarinen says with a laugh that this has certainly happened to him once, but he does not consider it a common mistake.
– But that is also something that can be treated with hand detergents. As long as there is no sound, he reminds.

Saarinen thinks that the habit in question may well be part of “poo shame”, i.e. the fear of defecating when others are in the same apartment.
– Many people think so [kakkakämmen] is strange, even though it is the most natural thing in the world. Throughout history, people have invented strange things in the toilet. For example, putting on music to block out the sound or spraying perfume to block out the smell.
Do you think you will ever get out of this habit or will you continue this for the rest of your life?
– I probably wouldn’t mind screwing up so that someone would know about it. But maybe I think it’s kind of embarrassing and yes it bothers me. I haven’t thought that I would learn from this habit, because I have found this to be really good, he answers with a little laugh.
Saarinen is not the only one who has spoken publicly about his poop shame. For example, Yle’s radio host Melina “Mellu” Mäkelä told Iltalehte in May about her fear of defecating if her partner is at home at the same time.
He said that during his current relationship, he went to the laundry room and the workplace for his needs, for example. Alternatively, she has been waiting for the moment when her boyfriend is not at home.
– I have taken my boyfriend to the bedroom and put headphones on him. Or I’ve turned on the TV and then the water tap. Or I’ll play music or Tiktok on my phone, Mäkelä listed.
– Then I said that he can’t even look at the toilet. And still I can’t defecate. The situation is unfortunate, he added.
