Niko Kovač and his team still want to end the season mixed up so far. The BVB coach has apparently considered a special measure for this.
Borussia Dortmund has to prove itself against Mainz on Sunday at home. The Bo Henriksen team has been playing strongly this season and is currently exactly where the BVB around coach Niko Kovač wants to go: on a Champions League rank.
The Dortmunders can only dream of this in eleventh place in the table. But so that the plan still opens or at least the Europa League is still reached, the BVB coach has probably considered something special. As the “Bild” reports, Niko Kovač has founded a “Privy Council”.
This is not the team council, but should consist of only three professionals: Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck and Pascal. The BVB stars serve as the mouthpiece of the coach, should quickly make changes to the team.
The three top performers not only have an important function on the lawn, but also within the team. All three also not only bring experience, but also enjoy high reputation within the team and are not afraid to openly address unpleasant topics.
Kovač has been on duty since February. He came as the successor to Nuri Şahin, who trained the team from June last year to January of this year.
