BVB coach Niko Kovač annoyed that his players did not face the media after the bankruptcy in Bochum. The 53-year-old reacted significantly.

After the 0-2 defeat against VfL Bochum, Borussia Dortmund’s team remained silent about journalists-much to the annoyance of coach Niko Kovač. Before the playoff second leg in the Champions League against Sporting Lisbon, he announced that something like this would no longer exist in the future.

“In the future, the players will ask themselves to ask. This is part of life. We will certainly do that better,” Kovač clarified at a press conference. After the defeat in the relegation -threatened neighboring neighbor, almost all professionals had withdrawn from the media. Only two players fulfilled their contractual obligations and at least stood the TV cameras.

“It didn’t go well that nobody was at the writing guild,” said Kovač. “I will also make sure that this will no longer happen in the future. I ask for leniency.”

However, the coach did not want to look too critically at his team’s sporting performance. “I see the results. But I also see what is in good things,” said Kovač. With two defeats in the first two Bundesliga games, he had a false start-no Dortmund coach had started his term in the league for over 40 years. Nevertheless, he emphasized: “If we as a team of coaches now hit it, no one is helped.”

While BVB runs its own demands in the Bundesliga, the team in the Champions League is faced with the round of 16. After the 3-0 backlog in Portugal, Borussia Dortmund goes into the second leg with Sporting Lisbon (Wednesday, from 9 p.m. in the live ticker at T-online).
