Nike terminated the contract with the superstar

Sports equipment and clothing manufacturer Nike concluded a sponsorship contract with an NBA superstar Kyrie Irving’s with because of this social media update.

About a month ago, Irving posted an update promoting a documentary that contains anti-Semitism.

– Kyrie crossed the line. It’s that simple, the founder of Nike Phil Knight said.

Irving, 30, who represents the Brooklyn Nets, was also punished by the NBA for his social media update. Irving was sidelined for eight games due to the suspension.

According to Forbes, the contract between Irving and Nike was worth around 10.5 million euros per year.

Irving has apologized for his social media post and said he does not support anti-Semitism.
