The US sporting goods provider Nike Inc. has given its flagship store in Berlin’s City West a makeover. The flagship store at Tauentzienstrasse 9-12 was reopened on March 26th after extensive renovation work.
According to the company, “a curated mix of performance and style” is now available there on an area totaling over 1,475 square meters. Items are offered from the categories running, football, training, ACG, Jordan and sportswear. The range also includes products from the new sportswear brand NikeSkims. The personalization services “Nike By You” and “Jersey By You” are also available to customers.
The offering is complemented by exhibits such as Nike shoes that athletes such as Mario Götze, Eliud Kipchoge and Malaika Mihambo wore during their greatest successes. In addition, “recycled materials from local sports facilities” were used for the facility.
Stephanie Strike, Vice President, Nike Direct, EMEA, explained the store concept. “We are pleased to welcome athletes to this new place for Berlin, where product innovation meets storytelling – and inspires people to develop their full potential,” she said in a statement on the occasion of the reopening. “The Nike Berlin Store is designed to be a local hub that brings communities together and celebrates sport and sport culture.”
