Nigma Galaxy defeated the Dreamleague Alliance 2-0 in the fourth week of the game. After the winter break, the two teams started the second half of the Western European Dota Pro Circuit with a game for the relegation place.

“It’s great to start the new year 2-0. The team started preparing together yesterday. But personally I didn’t have a long break over the holidays,” said Nigma’s off-lane player Ivan Borislavov “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov in an interview after the game. “Over time we understood how we could coordinate better. We also played against the better teams before the holidays. Alliance is currently not in good shape, that also plays a role.”

Dreamleague table open again

Nigma didn’t give Alliance much chances during the match and rarely gave away their own. While the defeat for Alliance was slowly but surely looming in the first game, Nigma was able to develop an overwhelming lead early on in the second game. Alliance is now occupying a relegation place two weeks before the end of the winter season.

For Nigma, the important win opens up opportunities in the table again. The team is not yet in the top four to receive a major invitation, but qualification is now within reach again.
