Two matches were played in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which was postponed for one year due to the new type of Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.

Nigeria defeated Sudan 3-1 with goals from Samuel Chukwueze in the 3rd minute, Taiwo Awoniyi in the 45th minute and Moses Simon in the 46th minute. Sudan’s only goal came from Walieldin Khdir in the 70th minute.

In the other match in the group, Egypt defeated Guinea-Bissau 1-0 with a goal from Mohammed Salah in the 69th minute.

Making two out of two, Nigeria secured promotion to the round of 16 before the third matches. In the group, Egypt is ranked with 3 points, Guinea Bissau and Sudan with one point each.
