Nicolette van Dam has a hard time at the desk of Shownieuws, where film expert René Mioch says that he does not know her new film at all. “It’s probably not good then.”
Nowadays we mainly know Nicolette van Dam as half of a lame influencer couple: together with Bas Smit she does everything for the likeseven if it is at the expense of Spanish flood victims. In the meantime, she is also a B-actress and can occasionally be seen in some mediocre films, such as now in De Jackpot.
René doesn’t know film
Nicolette’s film premiered somewhere hidden in a local theater in Leusden yesterday and some images of it were shown in the evening. Show news. “Did I understand that you did not know about the existence of this film?” Bram Moszkowicz remarks in surprise to his fellow desk chair René Mioch.

René thinks they deliberately kept it away from him because Nicolette’s film is just rubbish. “I can’t give that answer. I’ll ask about that tomorrow, but that usually happens when the movie isn’t that good. Then they don’t give press performances.”
Bram rubbing his hands: “Oh, I just wanted to hear that answer.”
René: “Oh you wanted to hear that.”
Bram: “That was the thought that occurred to me, that they don’t want people to go to that film.”
In secret
Why do you still do such a premiere, asks Evert Santegoeds. “You’re not going to release that in secret, are you?”
René: “No, they’re not releasing it secretly, but I think it has to fight against all the other films at Christmas.”
Bram: “But under the radar.”
René: “Yes, and maybe it is a deal with the people who co-financed it, that it will be in the cinema for a few weeks…”
