Nicole De Moor (CD&V): “We are certainly not only looking at Jabbeke for emergency shelter”

There is an urgent need for extra humanitarian reception places, but according to State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Nicole De Moor (CD&V) it is not the case that only Jabbeke is considered. “Today there are about 90 municipalities that have a collective center on the territory. It is certainly not the case that we only look at Jabbeke. But we do need urgent humanitarian relief,” said De Moor in ‘De Zevende Dag’. The CD&V state secretary will be in talks with the mayor of Jabbeke in the coming days.
